Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! I utilize Headway to bill insurance and am in network with BCBS, Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, Oscar, & Oxford. If I am out of network with your insurance, I can provide a super bill for you to submit to your carrier for possible reimbursement.

What if I don't have insurance?

Effective June 17, 2024, my self pay rate is $125 per 55 minute session. If finances are a barrier to receiving treatment, please let me know and we will work together to find a solution.

Do you offer in person sessions?

At this time, I am only conducting telehealth sessions utilizing SimplePractice. If you are local to the Baytown/Mont Belvieu area, I offer "Walk & Talk" sessions at a local park, when weather permits. Let me know if you are interested in this service!

What kind of services do you offer?

I offer individual therapy (no family or couples, sorry!) utilizing various treatment modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also utilize mindfulness based interventions as well as psychodynamic and solution focused therapy. When creating your treatment plan I will provide my recommendations. However, you are ultimately in charge of your treatment and make the final call.

What kinds of things do you treat?

The majority of my clinical training was in treating PTSD because of where I was working (The UT Health Science Center Trauma & Resilience Center). However, since going into private practice (and having more freedom and autonomy), I now also work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, and perinatal/postpartum mood disorders. One of my favorite groups of people to work with are my fellow neurodivergents!

What ages do you work with?

As an exclusively telehealth therapy provider, I have found that children younger than 12 years old would be better served receiving in person services. Therefore, I provide therapy for persons 12 years and older.

What is your stance on diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health?

I am committed to serving all members of our diverse community with acceptance, respect, and dignity. I am dedicated to providing an environment where equity, inclusion, and mutual respect are practiced and encouraged. My goal is to make clients from all walks of life feel seen, valued, and supported.

What if I have other questions?

Please contact me via your preferred method (text, phone call, email, or webpage contact submission form) and I will do my best to answer your questions within 48 business hours. If you do not hear back from me within that time period, feel free to send me a gentle reminder/follow up!
